Information Technology Coordinator

EastLake Church (Chula Vista, CA)

Are you a tech-savvy student who enjoys solving problems and helping people? We’re looking for a part-time IT Coordinator to support our staff and students with day-to-day technology needs while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Status: Part-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt

Reports to: Digital Engagement Coordinator
Level: $20 / hr

Hours:

Monday: Off

Tuesday: 4 hours (flexible)

Wednesday: 4 hours (flexible)

Thursday: 5 hours (flexible)

Friday: Off

Saturday: Off

Sunday: 7am-2pm (7 hours)

Schedule adjustments may be required by the supervisor to support additional events. Specific hours and location of work are afforded some flexibility based on work requirements, supervisor needs, and other factors.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

The position reports to the Digital Engagement Coordinator.

SCOPE & DIMENSIONS:

This position provides desktop and IT support to the Community Church Movement staff, ensures network connectivity for all locations (in conjunction with outsourced IT provider), monitors and maintains information technology resources, and interfaces with contracted service providers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide basic information technology support for staff of the Community Church Movement,
  • including hardware and general office applications.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for staff members regarding hardware, software, and
  • networking questions and issues.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for contracted IT, network, and network services providers.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues; either perform basic repair services or
  • coordinate repairs with outside providers.
  • Coordinate and execute software, and hardware purchases in conjunction with staff and
  • supervisors.
  • Maintain inventory of computer resources.
  • Assist with RockRMS support and functionality as necessary.

  • Demonstrated faith in Jesus Christ and aligns with the mission, values, and beliefs of our church.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Teachable attitude and strong and proven problem-solving skills
  • Completion of Discover Membership class at EastLake Church
  • Participating and tithing member of EastLake Church

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position is primarily administrative, but does require the ability to setup/teardown portable workstations and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Regular interaction with staff, students, and volunteers.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and climb short ladders to install or troubleshoot equipment.

  • As a staff person at Eastlake Community Church, I agree to abide by all the provisions of the Employee Handbook.

  • This position is classified by the Church as a Part-Time paid position and is Non-Exempt from the overtime provisions, as stated in Employee Handbook.
